Heating & Air Conditioning Service and Repair

Heat that doesn’t heat. Air conditioning that doesn’t cool. Defrosters that can’t keep the windows clear. There are many reasons your car’s climate control system might not be working properly. Rest assured, our expert auto repair technicians are equipped to check for leaks and are specially trained to repair today’s automotive air conditioning and climate control systems.

Not surprisingly, your engine’s combustion process generates heat. What you might find surprising is that, without a functioning cooling system, your engine’s heat is great enough to damage the components of the engine itself. Aluminum heads can warp. Head gaskets can blow. Engines can fail. And you and your family can be left stranded. Which is why if your car overheats, the cooling system should be inspected and repaired immediately.

Count on D.R.I.V.E.  Automotive to help keep your car’s cooling system operating safely and efficiently. We recommend having coolant replacement performed according to your car’s factory-recommended maintenance schedule. This regular maintenance of your vehicle’s cooling system can help avoid costly repair services. And help keep you safe.

Flush cooling system, pressure test, check hoses, cap and check connections.

Air Conditioning Service

One of our trained Air Conditioning specialists will inspect your car’s air conditioner, all AC lines, evaporator and compressor for leaks and wear.

Our thoroughness and attention to detail when recharging AC systems allows them to run colder and last longer.  Just a few of our techniques include:
* A thorough visual inspection to locate leaks and problems before recharging.

*  Recharging with fresh refrigerant, never recycled.

*  Putting the system into a vacuum for one hour instead of the standard 15 minutes.  The extended vacuum time boils out all the air and moisture in the system making the AC far more efficient and longer lasting.

*  Two ounces of AC oil with a florescent dye are injected during recharge.  This replenishes lost system oil and allows us to find leaks with our black light leak detection system should they occur.
